Qurbani- Animal Sacrifice

My question is that my salary is 20,000 and if I do Qurbani, it will take almost, 10,000 and my remaining month would be economical difficult, although I give zakat every year. What do I do now?

Many thanks for your query. In the opinion of our scholars, animal sacrifice at the time of Eid ul adha is considered to be  highly recommended, it is however not obligatory. There can be options of sharing in a sacrifice of a larger animal at a lesser price, which perhaps could be explored. If you still feel that you cannot financially afford to give animal sacrifice then it would be perfectly acceptable to leave the sacrifice.
