Dreams
Question:
Hi
I was wondering if you can help me interpret a dream, I have re-occuring dreams that I am pregnant or have a child, usally boys. This is no way close to my reality and this issue is not even on my mind at this stage of my life. Usually the fathers of these children are diffrent and not recognisable to me. What does this mean? Can you help me?
Thanks!
Melina Valentino
Answer:
Salaam sister
Many thanks for your query. Unfortunately, I am unable to help you in the interpretation of your dream. In the opinion of our scholars, reliable Islamic sources do not give us any guidelines for interpreting dreams. The Muslim Belief is that God alone knows what the future holds. Whilst a dream can be a Glad tiding from God, as was the case with Prophets of God, it can be an effort from Satan to make us feel hopeless; furthermore, it can also be a manifestation of our subconscious thoughts.
It would be my earnest suggestion to try and get on with your life and not to become overly conscious about the recurrent dream.
I enclose links from our sister web sites which provide further information on this issue.

The only dreams of value are the ones at predawn after Tahajud time. The source best to assist you is Ibn Sirin's book on dreams.
