Birth of Jesus Christ
Question:
Salaam!
I had a chance to go through some of the online manuals and documents composed by Sir Syed Ahmed Khan and Ghulam Ahmed Parvez of Tolu-e-Islam.....I know Jawed Ghamdi and Khalid Zaheer differ with Mr. Parvez but can't deny his intellect.
Regarding Hazrat Isa Alayhis'Salam both Sir Syed and Parvez used to stress that not only he died a natural death but was born in a natural away i.e. WITH a father whose name was Joseph or Yusuf. They even used verses of the Holy Quran for the purpose..In addition,Allama Iqbal and few others also did the same i.e. denying the concept/theory of the Virgin Birth. But my friends say that such beliefs take people out of Islam. Not to forget Fatwas against SSAH,GAP and Allama Iqbal.
So what's your understanding or stand on the issue?
Thanks and regards,
Allah Hafiz and Take Care
Adil
Answer:
Salaam brother
Many thanks for your query. I enclose some of the verses of Quran about the Birth of Jesus pbuh.
Remind them when the angels said: “Mary! God gives you glad tidings of a command from Him. His name is the Messiah, Jesus son of Mary. He shall be noble in this world and in the world to come, and shall be one of those who are favored. He shall preach [in his capacity of a prophet] in his cradle and in elderly age too and shall be counted among the righteous.” “Lord”, she said, “how can I bear a child when no man has touched me?” He replied: “In this manner God creates whom He wants.” When He decrees a matter, He need only say: ‘Be,” and it is. ( 2:45-47)
I also enclose some of the verses of Quran regarding what finally happened to Jesus pbuh
At that time when God said: “Jesus, I have decided to give you death and lift you up to me and I shall purify you from these who have disbelieved [in you] and shall grant your followers supremacy over these disbelievers till the Day of Judgement. (2:55)
That they said (in boast), "We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah";- but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not. Nay, Allah raised him up unto Himself; and Allah is Exalted in Power, Wise.( 4:157-158)

Furthermore you have asked that "but my friends say that such beliefs take people out of Islam". The beliefs that you have mentioned in the opinion of our scholars these beliefs are not in accordance to the Qur'an. Albeit we cannot call someone non Muslim on the basis of such beliefs. If a person affirms to the shahadah that there is one God and prophet Muhammad pbuh is his last and final prophet then he is legally a Muslim.
If you have any further queries please do not hesitate to contact us again.
