Signs of humility include a liking for obscurity, a dislike for fame and to accept truth whether it be from a man of high or of low birth; to love the poor, to associate with them and to keep their company; to fulfil the rights people have upon you as completely as you can, to thank those of them who fulfil their duties to you and to excuse those who are remiss.
